How Much SASSA SRD Grant Amount Will Be Paid in 2025?

Since the initiation of the COVID-19 Social Relief Distress (SRD) grant, all approved applicants received R350 each month. However, after the official update to the Social Assistance Act (2004) by the Minister of Social Development, all beneficiaries will receive R370 starting from April 1, 2025.

The increase in the SRD grant from R350 to R370 is to help financially weak South Africans to fulfill their basic needs in challenging economic conditions. For complete details, check the ‘Amendment Regulations Relating to COVID-19 Social Relief of Distress, 2025’ by DSD.
